Do you skip season one?

I do. In Australia they would rarely show this as reruns, and I think because they were still finding their characters and it was jolting to go back to seeing Kramer as an introvert.

When I bought the dvds, I bought all seasons other than season one.

No, there's good stuff in season one. The Stake Out and Male Unbonding are great.

I skipped all the seasons because I didn't think it was funny.

You dont think it's funny, yet you are in all the posts on the Seinfeld page. The show must have really made a mark on your dull life👍

No, I do not. It was just irritating to me. I once made that remark, and I was viciously attacked by a swarm of angry fans. And they kept attacking long after a sane group of people would have stopped.

Fair enough

Doesn't make sense to skip it. The last scene of the finale bookends with the first scene of the pilot. The Stake Out is great and is the birth of Art Vandelay.

Personally I enjoy the tone of the earlier episodes.

reply

I love Seinfeld but season 1 is not that good. By season 4 the series was at peak form.

reply

No because this show has been played so much on many different channels since the show has ended that i have probably seen each episode 10 times over. Probably more than 10. And In USA they always play reruns of shows in order. Funny thing is I never even watched 1 episode when it was still being aired. But through syndication it has became one of my favorite shows ever.

reply

You can't have bought season 2 without season 1. They released them together as "Volume 1". They've never been released in Australia separately.

reply

I guess I ain't got two as well.

reply

You're missing a lot of good episodes then.

reply

Two isn´t that great either to be fair. It didn´t start hitting its stride until season 3.

reply

I watch season 1 sometimes, and it has its moments, but it's not that good compared to the rest of the show. Honestly, I'm kind of surprised the show survived its first season. It started getting good in season 2, and really hit its stride in season 3.

reply

In this day and age, if a show doesn't get an audience within 2 episodes, it's pulled. No joke.

reply

Imagine if that had happened to Seinfeld. The world would never have known what it had missed out on.

reply

It's a shame that they don't give a show a decent chance. Both All in the Family and Cheers did poorly in the ratings in their first season.
