good or bad! robert englund's 1989 film

hey does anybody know if this one was a good version or it's not that good!pleese let me know if the 1989 version of phantom of the opera was really that good or not!it looks interesting and if it's one of englund's best horror movies after the nightmare on elm street movies!because i seen this one on channel 50 UPN chicago back in 1997 sometime back then.it came on like two times they'd only been airing this version like two times on television back then.

Good, except it could have done without the modern day framing gimmick.

I think this is an okay film, with some portions of it being very good. I've watched it (or at least the good parts) several times. Despite its flaws, if you like Robert Englund, you should give it a try. He gives a great performance, as usual.

It's just plain bad

Good.

Lavish set designs and costumes, Jill Schoelen, Robert Englund, some solid gore and it's pacing is good, an entertaining film.
