So did Aquaman owe Indy one or something?

Because we see him stranded in the middle of the ocean during a tropical storm and in the very next scene he’s in his classroom. Add that to the long list of Last Crusade plot holes.

reply

For heaven's sake you are obsessed. Time passed. We did not need to know the details on how he got back. This isn't an unusual trope.

reply

Yes we do because without knowing there isn’t a logical way in which the movie can continue. Indy should have been DEAD! That is even more preposterous than him surviving a nuclear blast.

Also your pathetic attempt of getting me to quit bringing up the problems of Last Crusade by calling me “obsessed” is really immature. You just want a convenient excuse to not have to defend this trash movie because you know you can’t.

reply

Blah Blah Blah.

You are obsessed. This will be my last comment on this. I'm sure you will crow about how I am conceding the argument. I am not. I simply won't continue with someone who is incapable of using the imagination most other movie watchers use all the time when watching films.

reply

You need to calm the hell down, you are an overly emotional fanboy. This site is for discussing movies and you are having a temper tantrum because you know you can’t defend this plot hole. Also if I have to use “my imagination” for this movie to make sense then that proves it’s a bad movie. Get a life you loser. I am seriously worried about you.

reply

You're the one who needs to calm down. You are the one shouting in caps and exclamation marks - you are the one who is clearly overly emotional.

As for your ridiculous OP, it is not unheard of for ship wrecked people to survive. Happens all the time. As many as 316 from the USS Indianapolis, in the exact same situation as Indy, managed to survive - and they were sunk in the middle of the Pacific. We don't know how far or near Indy was from shore, or if another ship was far off. Sure, it was night time in that scene, but day follows night. And with all the debris from the ship, it is not implausible that a passing vessel or aircraft might notice something. As we know that Indy was holding on to a life preserver, he could have survived in the water for days.

The only things which are implausible - and which your addled brain somehow missed because you're way too busy tilting at wind mills - is that the ship should explode simply from an impact of a fallen chimney onto crates stored top-side, and that Indy should somehow have survived this explosion.

reply

Oh so he was saved by a ship, please show me evidence of this ship? And you are having a heart attack because I don’t like the movie, you literally gave 5 responses to me in a matter of minutes, you need help.

reply

THE FACT THAT HE WAS SAVED. When it comes to Raiders, there are literally no limits to how much you are willing to have happened off-screen which not only is not suggested by anything in the film, but directly contradicted by it. I have no wish to re-hash the whole U-boat thing with you again, where you had the ridiculous notion that an on-screen order to dive was countermanded off-screen. You don't get to complain about something which IS suggested in Crusade.

And you are having a heart attack because I don’t like the movie,

Not at all. I don't care that you don't like the movie. What I do care about is your incessant whining about things which frankly is only true in your head.

you literally gave 5 responses to me in a matter of minutes

So did you, wise guy.

reply

How was he saved? Last time we saw him he was in a situation where he would have died, hell the guy in the hat was going to throw him overboard with the intention of KILLING HIM!!! It’s a plot hole and yes you are freaking out, your obsession with this movie is simply not normal, you need therapy.

reply

God gave Indy a boat and placed the ark on it for him and Marion to return home

reply

How is that a plot hole? he was rescued by another boat, does that make you feel better ? how the hell is that a plot hole ? still , this film is the 2nd best Indy film of the series , solid 8 out of 10

reply

Please show me evidence of this other boat? The fact that you think this is the “2nd best Indy movie” says a lot about your intelligence or shall I say lack of intelligence, it’s easily the worst

reply

General audience and critics scores rate this as the second best, sorry bud you are in a very small minority

reply

Appealing to popularity is a logical fallacy

reply

So we have to take your word for it? Deal with it, its one of the best indy films, thats a fact.

reply

Show me the objective evidence that it’s one of the best Indy films, appealing to other people’s subjective opinion isn’t evidence.

reply

I have a superior taste in movies than, you, it just so happens my taste is shared by the vaste majority that watched this movie, now you can kick and scream all u want, nothing will change that ,this is the 2nd best indy film ever, fact, accept this

reply

So you can’t prove it, why am I not surprised?

reply

Please show me evidence of this other boat?

Absolutely agree. Movies shouldn't be compressed - they should be made in real time although the SAG might bitch about the hours.

Personally, I think we all would enjoy a movie with a 25 year run time...
