This movie is still garbage, 35 years later!

Halloween 4 was a really good follow up to the first two and it's such a shame it was followed by such a garbage sequel! It also doesn't help that the French director of this, was a complete hack and didn't give a single fuck about this franchise or it's lore!

Yeah, this movie is just godawful. I have nothing against Jamie Lloyd or Dr. Loomis. They're great characters, but they were ruined in this film beyond comprehension! Also, the stupid clown cops, the Myers house doesn't even look NOTHING like what it looked like in the first film, and Tina sucks! This movie sucks on almost all levels! A real fucking shitshow and an embarrassment, as far as slasher sequels go. The only possible redeeming quality is the atmosphere, except for the daytime scenes where it looks like it's summer, instead of autumn. I don't get why people like this film and why it's getting a cult following? It doesn't deserve it! I always see people constantly shitting on H6, but you know what? It's a lot better than H5! Yes, the cult plot was garbage and most of the characters are terrible, but Michael is brutal in that film and the kills are actually cool, unlike in this travesty!

There is one good scene in this and it's when Michael chases Jamie up the laundry chute. Other than that, nothing good (or even remotely scary) ever happens, and the ending blatantly rips off the police station shooting massacre from the original Terminator. Like no joke, they literally steal that scene from that film! How fucking original!

I didn't think it was that bad, honestly. It's not the best in the series, no, but I thought it was kinda fun. For me, the worst in the series is part 6. I didn't like what happened to Rachel in this one, or how they made Dr. Loomis, but other than that, I thought it was okay.

Really, I thought it was worse than 6, Resurrection, Halloween II (2009), and Ends. This makes Ends look like a goddamn masterpiece. At least Ends tried something different, even though it turned out poor. At least nothing else in this franchise is as bad as this one. Sure, 6 and Resurrection come close, but at least those weren't boring as fuck. Also, 6 gave us the debut of Paul Rudd, 5 give us a bunch of nobodies who went on to do nothing else, after this excuse for a poorly made sequel.

As bad as 6 is, it least it was entertaining, unlike this godawful abomination. There are three YouTubers who hate this shitty movie; 616 Entertainment, Dave McRae, and Cody Leach and I agree with all of them. You have to have an I.Q. below 70 to even enjoy this shit! While I'll admit, it's not entirely unwatchable and there are some decent performances from Harris and Pleasence; its still hot trash! Too many bad decisions were made. The Myers house shouldn't have even have been in the film if they weren't planning on using a modest 2-storey house, instead of the gothic mansion we got. While I do think the house looks very nice, it doesn't fit as the Myers house and you can't make up some arbitrary bullshit like "Oh, the old Myers house was torn down after 2 and rebuilt before the events of 5" that doesn't work because it's back to being a normal 2-storey house in the next one, just 6 years later. That doesn't make any goddamn sense, whatsoever!

Hey, now, come on, no need for insults. Let's all get along here. I do agree with you about the Myers' house, though.

I wasn't trying to insult anyone. I take back what I said about "you need an I.Q. lower than 70 to enjoy this" but the film shouldn't have been made by some talentless hack from France. I wish they had gotten one of the Friday The 13th directors to do this one. I know Dwight Little turned this one down after 4, but still we deserved a better director. I could look past all the other negative points if the other glaring issues had been fixed. This wasn't doomed from the start. It had a chance to be as good as 4 and if they had a better director, it might've been as good as that one.

They should've had Jamie been the killer and then halfway through, Michael Myers actually shows up and resumes killing people. That would've already made it 1000% better and not made the twist ending to 4 entirely pointless. Plus, the secondary killer thing would've worked a lot better here, than in Ends.

Ends and 5's plots should've been swapped around. Have Ends take place one year later and have it be about Laurie's granddaughter in the ward after being traumatized to hell after the events of 2018 and Kills and when Michael shows up again and starts killing more people, she escapes and teams up with her grandma to kill the Boogyman, once and for all. You didn't need any of this crap about some emo in his early 20s, who still acts like a teen and gets bullied by some band geeks who dress like jocks. What the fuck!?

It's okay, no harm, no foul. :)

A hack, maybe, but he's Swiss. 😬
