Did anybody actually see this in a theater?

If so what did you think when you walked out?

Were you disappointed? Did you feel like it was money worth spent?

I wish I had seen it in theaters. I was around 7 or 8 and though I was obsessed with the cartoon, I didn't even know there was a sequel. My mom got a copy from the video store and we all sat down to watch it; no one telling me what the movie was. I remember watching that whole opening scene with Dana and the baby carriage wondering what the hell I was watching. Then the Ghostbusters logo came on and I jumped up and down so excitedly. I loved this movie.

Jeese...memories....I remember NOT wanting to take the movie back to the store and I took it and hid under my Grandmom's bed hoping mom wouldn't find me or the movie and forget about returning it, haha.

reply

Wasn't as good as the first but I liked it.

reply

I was 11.

I liked it but since I saw GB1 at 6, the awe of the experience just didn't match up.

reply

I did. I was 19 at the time, and had loved the first movie. My best friend and I left the theater marveling at how terrible the movie we had just seen was.

reply

I saw it for free at a sneak preview screening. I remember laughing during the courtroom scene. I don't think I was impressed or disappointed when it was over.

reply

Yes I saw this movie with a friend in a theater.

I remember this summer i was 8 years old! my mom had taken me to see batman and i was blown away! we tried to see this that summer too but the showing we went to that saturday afternoon was all sold out so we saw karate kid 2 instead! good movie also but would had been nice to see ghostbusters 2 on the big screen as well!

reply

It's hard to fathom in today's climate, but going to a movie only to find it was sold out was common back then, along with lines around the block. Movies were such a big deal then.

Yeah. Age 20. Saw it with my sober nerdy circle pf friends. Usually a great recipe for a good movie memory. Not this time.

Liked the photos burning up in the dark room. All else in that movie felt like they were trying too hard to recapture the fucking "fun" and often outright plagiarizing themselves. When it was ever half good is when it was limply being half like part 1.

How about Janos suddenly being a ghost midwife with a ghost baby carriage that flies? Fuck this movie. Still the 2nd best GB though. 3.5/10
