How old were you when you first started watching The Simpsons?

I've been watching since almost the very beginning. I don't remember many episodes before Season 3 but my earliest memories were going to Burger King to get The Simpsons camping toys. I think I only managed to get Homer and like 3 Barts though.

It's crazy to think that The Simpsons has been on the air almost 27 years and still as popular as ever.

BQ: How old are you? I'm 28, 29 in December.

When I was 3.

I was 8, in 2000 - When I first watched the show. Although I did get a glimpse of the show in 1999, but I didn't really care about it. Lol.

Cape Feare, Last Temptation of Homer and Stark Raving Dad were one of the first episodes that I watched.

7 in 1991 when it debuted in Australia.

I first saw them on The Tracy Ullman Show back in 1987. So I was 11 or 12 depending on what month it aired.

I was 12 years old and fell in love with the show in 2007. After The Simpsons Movie came out in the summer of 2007, I began watching reruns of classic episodes of the show that use to air on FOX in the late afternoon. I also loved playing The Simpsons Game back in 2007-2008.

My earliest memories of the show date back to the Late 90's, but I was only a toddler then and wasn't old enough to watch The Simpsons or get the humor at the time.

I remember all that way back to the very first shorts from the Tracey Ullman era beginning in 1987 when I was 15 and puberty was doing a real number on all aspects of my life. I was 17 when that series proper debuted in December of 1989; I remember how different it was to finally have an animated series with such a wry satirical sense of humor that reflected they way things really were in society rather than some idealized, nonexistent palaver. So, I'm 44 now, and the Simpsons has been with me for over half of my life now; I just hope to live to see the series bow out with some modicum of dignity...

About 4 years old 1993.

I was 24 when I saw the first episode in 1989. Plus I saw Tracey Ullman shorts prior to that. Who cares?

I was around seven I think. That's about the time I started collecting all the seasons on dvd and the comics. I think I was all around obsessed for a good two-three years. I'm 20 now and still love the Simpsons, some of the newer episodes aren't so great but I don't think it's as 'awful' now as everyone implies. The 'Barthood' episode is actually one of my favourites. (However the gaga one was so terrible I couldn't even finish it)

But how can you prove for SURE that I don't go to Hogwarts??

I've been watching them from the start. I remember watching them on the Tracy Ulmann show back in 1988. I would have been about 11.

I think I was like 7? I remember seeing Treehouse of Horror VII when I was young.

reply

24, I'm 51 now. That's the half hour show. I was 22 when I first watched the shorts on the Tracey Ullman Show.
