I think part 4 is far better. Part 2 completely wastes Laurie and Jamie Lee Curtis. All she does is limp and scream while wearing an awful wig. I don't even feel like I'm watching the same character as part 1, despite this taking place the same night.

Good point. I don't mind the movie, but overall it feels like a totally different universe to part 1, never-mind the same night.

H4 was a cheap cash grab of a movie. H2 was way superior but has not aged well. H5 was a tad better than 4. Still very weak.

To me 4 looked and felt like a TV movie. The kills were pretty weak if we saw anything at all. Not sure if they even had a make up and gore SFX team as the majority of kills were gore less apart from a blood squib. Friday the 13th owns on kills over Halloween, even with the MPAA cuts you can see they at least tried.

And dont get me started on Mike in this one. He looked like an old geography teacher of mine with ridiculous shoulder pads.

And Michael drives a car again. Irks me every time.

The endings a blast though, if not a little silly.

I don't know I've always felt part II was the cash grab. Friday the 13th came along and made a huge splash and as they were gearing up for a sequel Halloween producers felt the need to compete, and it showed.

Carpenter's heart was not into this project and II, although enjoyable, felt like a rushed job.

II is awesome *until* we get to the hospital, then it's just boring shots of corridors, Laurie asleep, and characters whose names we barely know getting offed.

I read in 'Taking Shape' that JLC actually gets more dialogue in her screentime in Resurrection than Halloween II.

I prefer 4 over 2, but like both and would rate them both a 7/10.

2 is a better overall movie, but 4 has grown on me over the years. It's the best one of that crappy little Thorn trilogy. I think it's entertaining, but 2 is a better movie. Has a good babe factor too.

Halloween ll is better but this was a good attempt to take the series in a new direction after Halloween lll pissed everyone off. Halloween 5 ruined the ending of this movie though.
