I like bad, trashy B-movies. They can be great fun. But I was almost angry by the time this movie was over. At no point did I find anything in this movie funny or entertaining. It was like some 102-minute nightmare.
I was sold on this movie in the first few minutes when, during the opening chase scene, a car virtually falls apart from swerving to avoid an accident. Dear God, I love this movie drunk and sober...and that's saying a lot!!! Awesome one-liners, sick humor, and just such an off-kilter narrative that makes me glad to be a cinephile of the most obscure flicks.
sick scenes of bodies being melted, and sick characters saying sick things and doing sick things. and sleazy characters. the sleaziest has to be the fat guy who works at the business. it has a higher quality than a troma movie. the first scene is frenetic and amazing. i love how all these exciting things are happening at the same time.
a guy is running away from another guy and trying to hide a guy and girl are naked on a bed. crazy and original scene. the guy and girl naked and every other thing in this scene made me think people do stuff.
I agree, I'm just not seeing what everyone else in this flick. It's nowhere near the worst movie ever of course, but the cult following it has is kind of baffling. The majority of the footage is obviously fake hobos (grease paint one face + dirty overalls = hobo obviously) sitting around and talking or doing stupid stuff. I love silly 80s horror flicks, they're some of the most fun movies out there. But this missed the mark in just about every way for me.
Even the gore is few and far between. The comedy wasn't funny, and the pacing was just awful. I'm sure they did well for the budget, but I kept waiting for it to get good, and it never happened.

I agree with you almost word for word. I love low budget B-Movies. I love gross-out movies. But I just didn't enjoy this. It wasn't nearly as entertaining as I expected it to be. I was actually kind of bored of it in a weird way. It was also far too long. It could have been trimmed by about twenty minutes and you wouldn't lose anything in terms of the plot. There is no plot whatsoever. It just seems like a bunch of gross ideas sewn together. I also don't care for that Troma-like humour. I do, however, really like the special effects and I did find the shoplifting scene quite funny.
exactly you have to sit thorough about an hour and 20 minutes of boring things happening that are not really important. also, the characters were so thin and unlikable and so undeveloped that you never know who they are, they are just generic characters.
