They show all the abuse leading up to him eventually killing her but they don't show the actual killing...I agree the threats of killing and torture was pretty insane..maybe the writer felt they couldn't show a murder in film that would be onpar with the threats fast black said he would do to her?
shareOn the contrary, I think the way it happened fitted well with Fisher being in jail and being powerless to protect those in his life, and not knowing what's happening until it was too late. It made him realise he needs to get out and do something fast.
shareToo gratuitous. The implication was more than enough and promoted shock, anger, and sadness in the audience. Showing him shoot her would be too much as we already were led on to it with his threats towards her.
