That false happy ending really was a red flag. When we see that her dad shows up as an angel to cross over, we know something bad is about to happen and it's revealed to be Freddy and he fatally stabs poor Nancy. This death right here ranks up with Randy's from Scream 2, which was just 10 years later. Damn Wes, why did you have to be so cruel?
shareCodyXBrenda, yes, that is one of Freddy's most malicious tricks, if not the most malicious. I, too, am surprised that Nancy is not suspicious considering where she is and whom she is dealing with. It's a smart moment, though. We know that the gloved killer is going to want to finish murdering the original Elm Street children, but it seems especially unjust for the young lady to die after all that she has done to fight Freddy.
