The film isn't without its flaws, but I find it very sincere and innocent. I love it. It's such a refreshing change from the sort of films that are being produced today.
Gentle, romantic, and completely free of cynicism and irony. It's so wonderful to enter this world for a little while.
There's no way anything so tender and touching could be made today.
I remember watching this as a kid and being somewhat freaked out by what came out of the angel's mouth when she mouthed words. It was of course Heavenly, but it, as a child and even now, seems creepy. Still a good movie though. Phobe Cates in her young years.

Any movie with Phoebe Cates has got to be sweet and lovely. I'm looking forward to seeing it for the first time.

shareI agree. Movies made today are so in your face crass and hardcore. It's nice to escape for awhile into a sweeter, more subtle period of time, and this movie reflects that perfectly.
