Do you like Reg?

I remember him from Voyager. He was a little nutty but I liked him.

Reg really felt like writing that was ahead of its time. He was a more everyman-like character, where the writers actually allowed some more contemporary humor to come in. Of course we've gone completely off the rails in this direction, in this Joss Whedon era.

Reg became a fully realized character in Voyager. Doing stuff nobody else could. Because of his experiences on the Enterprise.

I love Reg. But he never would have been on the flagship of the Fleet if he couldn't absolutely ace his exams. He may be socially inept. But the dude is a total boss and earned his position and status. And Troi wouldn't have taken such special interest in him if he wasn't truly special. She devotes actual friendship to him. Not just on a client basis.

I really like Reg. His character got even better in 'Voyager'.
