Hope you don't mind a mini-review for each...

1. Friday the 13th, Part VI: Jason Lives: The best in the series. It's the most fun to watch without being outright retarded, with just the right amount of comedy (that's actually kind of clever) thrown in. Plus it's the REAL beginning for 'Zombie Jason', not to mention Jason's never looked better, and he'd never look this good again in future sequels.

2. Friday the 13th, Part II: Ginny is the best 'final girl' of the series, and also the smartest. She actually managed to trick Jason, which actually kept her from getting killed. Quick thinking, and hats off to her for having a likable personality. She (and Jason of course, but that shouldn't even need to be mentioned) almost single-handedly saved this movie from total mediocrity, and I wished she would appear again, as she is totally awesome, but I doubted that was going to happen since she kind of went insane afterwards...

3. Final the 13th: The Final Chapter: Cool idea to have somebody HUNT Jason to avenge one of the forgettable victims from Part II, even though it really didn't go anywhere. Joseph Zito definitely didn't let me down here, though. Having directed nothing but enjoyable movies so far (Red Scorpion and Invasion U.S.A.), the first horror film I saw from his filmography wasn't a disappointment. In fact, if it weren't for Ginny being in Part II, this would be ranked the best of them (so far).

4. Friday the 13th, Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan: Despite the fact that the whole idea of throwing Jason in New York is stupid (and they don't even reach New York until over an hour into the movie), the stuff leading up to Manhattan was at least interesting enough to watch (I mean, it's Jason killing people on a boat). Once they get into Manhattan, it actually gets a little bit dull, but it's still fun seeing Jason's little head-smashing, boombox-kicking rampage through the streets of New York as he chases his prey. In fact, this may be the first movie where he doesn't try to kill everyone in sight (he barely even LOOKS at all the people on that train, whom he WALKED PAST).

5. Friday the 13th, Part VII: The New Blood: Having a psychokinetic girl go up against Jason is weird enough, but at least the lead was strong and the movie wasn't terrible with its characters, situations or conflicts. Actually the final chase was pretty well done. And it even had an explosion! YAY!

6. Jason X: Jason kills... in space. And he gets a metal upgrade and chases a bunch of stupid people around a space shuttle. Actually not as bad as it sounds. In fact it was kind of funny.

7. Friday the 13th, Part V: A New Beginning: The killer wasn't Jason, but seemed to act JUST LIKE JASON. Complete with smashing through doors, throwing bodies through windows to intimidate the remaining survivors, and getting up like nothing happened after getting hit by a freaking tractor. It felt like a copout at the end, with a copout ending.

8. Friday the 13th: Slow, kind of boring, and drawn out twenty minutes longer than it should've been, with the 'revelation' behind the killings both rushed and pretty undeveloped. And by 'rushed and undeveloped', I mean WE DON'T HEAR OR SEE ANYTHING ABOUT THE MOTIVATIONS OR ANYTHING UNTIL THE LAST FIFTEEN MINUTES. Plus the cast was full of idiots.

9. Friday the 13th, Part III: This was the worst one (so far), and not just for the stupid 3D gimmick, either. The cast was obnoxious and stupid, ESPECIALLY Shelly, who is THE WORST CHARACTER IN THE SERIES. I hated him so much I kept wishing he'd be the next one to get offed. There are only two good things about this movie: the neat retro soundtrack, and the fact that it's the first to introduce the legendary hockey mask. Hell yes. Now Jason's ridding the world of hormone-crazed idiots with STYLE.

10. Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday: One of the worst in the series, alongside Part III. It had some fun moments, like a shootout in a diner, and Freddy's little cameo at the end as Jason finally goes to hell like he's supposed to, but it was just stupid. Plus, the music was freaking terrible, and Jason had never looked worse.

I haven't seen the remake or Freddy Vs. Jason yet.
