I think his parents were more hip than he was. Remember on their way home from the dog Frisbee contest? The song playing on the radio? That song is called "You're just the one I want" sung by Olivia Newton John & John Travolta from the movie "Grease" Which has come out in 1978. If you seen GREASE, remember how they were dressed when they were performing the song? I thought it was a little too racy for the time the movie was set-the 1950's.
The song was playing on the radio just before they dropped off Jeff to play with Billy.
