When Ripley opens the hatch to shoot out the mama xenomorph in space, she opened both doors simultaneously. She's technically in space without any protection, the temperature, lack of atmospheric pressure. Shouldn't she have died right there?

She was in the airlock.Air was rushing out but the compartment had not fully depressurized. Once the Queen was blown out, she shut the hatch, air was still rushing out right up to when the hatch closed. She was never in vacuum.
And space does not have a temperature. Space is a vacuum. Things in space can be heated from direct sunlight, and radiate it's heat away and freeze. But space itself is not cold or hot. The idea of instantly freezing when exposed to space is one of many false BS beliefs about exposure to space.

My question is how did the queen survive in the landing gear area as there’s no atmosphere in that section surely?
We don't know how long the Alien can survive without oxygen or even if it needs it.
