The World Needs A Hero, The World Needs ALF

Many years have passed since I last watched ALF, and with those years, what always remained were fond memories.

The wise cracking, cat eating alien from Melmac, was a bit of an icon back in the day, so imagine my excitement upon finding a load of vhs tapes featuring the series in my loft the other day.

As with many programs from my youth, the memory is mostly better than the revisit, this however is not the case with ALF.

As relevant today as it was 20 odd years ago, its still really funny, and ALF is still (if not more) iconic as ever.

Bring back ALF, please, we don't need the original family back, I think that story has been told, but whats to stop ALF coming back, give him a chat show or something, make the humor a bit more grown up, whatever.... hell I'd watch it.

alf needs to make a comeback in some form, this was quite the cool series, and alf (alien life form) made comments that has stuck in my head since even though i haven't seen this for years, last time i viewed it on a (no longer existing) television channel in my country running the entire series. funny, the situation how you discovered the alf tapes sounds like that scene in "christmas vacation", speaking of this, i think the family hided alf in the basement or garage, perhaps you should look there as well 😳 i'm guessing they used clips from alf's appearances on "the tonight show" in the movie "ted" and put ted in alf's place, credit is even given to alf in the movie too, i remember him being mentioned, it's funny how ted made a comment about garfield's eyes looking like boobs when afterwards it appeared to me they look somewhat similar on seth's "family guy", and any regular viewer knows what peter griffins chin is being referred to as, the guy making garfield's cool voice has since long passed, i don't know about the guy who is the voice of alf.

I loved Alf as a kid, but the world now loves cats. It won't accept a cat eating alien.

There should be a possibility for a re-make, now that so many other old sitcoms have been revived. Let's see what the future brings.
