Surely Drago goes to prison?
When fighting Apollo he does most of his damage illegally after the first bell and then when the ref tries to stop the fight in the second he pushes him out of the way and delivers the final leathal blows.

shareAgree, but with the tension of the U.S./Soviet relations at the time, the Cold War and all, that would’ve sparked quite the international incident. I’m not sure that one gets settled in a civil manner at The Hague.
shareI don't think so. It's pretty hard charge someone legally for something that happens within the realm of sports. Boxing is an inherently dangerous sport punching someone hard is the point of the sport, so you can't hold someone legally liable for doing it. The stuff that happened in between rounds shouldn't happen, but I'm not sure that is some thing the law should get involved with. It should be handled within the sport, and it was when Drago lost his boxing liscense.
shareYes.
In reality, about 20 people would jump into the ring to separate the fighters once creed became defenceless. It was ridiculous for rocky to stand there like a retard while his friend is getting slowly pummelled to death before his very eyes, but I guess we don't have a story if he intervenes.
