could the scene where peewee looks at the woman up and down while he wears the x-ray specs
be seen as problematic?
sharebe seen as problematic?
shareYes, definitely problematic to humorless, uptight fools.
shareOnly by today's standards in the me too era...but back then...funny stuff.
shareIt might be problematic if someone else did it, but what is Pee Wee Herman going to do? Cry "Eeew", probably.
shareNot in the 80’s. At that time 4 out of 5 women desired to be viewed by P.W. Herman while using his X-Ray glasses.

Most women thought Mr. Herman was hot.
I loved that X-Ray specs joke. As a kid, I read many 1960s comic books, and they always had the ad for these in the back - right next to the sea monkeys.. The dude wearing them happened to be looking at a buxom (that was a cool word back then) woman just in case the reader missed the obvious advantage such specs could offer.
I collected comic books in the 80’s and many of them were from the 60’s-70’s and I remember the ad vividly. Besides looking at the well endowed female there was one where the guy is looking at his hand that is seared into my memory.
shareLOL, this one?
