Blunder a spy the whole time?

So if Blunder was secretly an elf the whole time and a spy were he wore that horned helmet for a disguise to mingle among Blix and the ogre goblin, then what about Blunder's actions in the beginning where he did harm the unicorn which Blunder should be ashamed of himself

I think he was a faerie that turned to darkness, and wore that helmet to disguise his beginnings from the other goblins. Look how dark his eyes are! Kinda scary. It shows that the world is malleable, people can be corrupted even if they were born pure of heart. Blunder even apologizes and laments his decisions while being locked up as he speaks to the gnomes and faeries, but ultimately he is carried off by that ogre to the kitchen showing that we pay for our misdeeds. We dont see the inverse which is an evil being do anything nice though do we? But maybe that wasnt needed.
