Honestly, this is pretty much my favorite movie.

I mean it. This may be my all time favorite movie. Anyone else? Hello? Am I all alone?

Definitely an all time favorite. I caught it one night in the mid 80's on a humble while watching cable (WHT for anyone who remembers/knows) and by the end of the movie I was moved to applause. Very good sleeper.

I remember while vacationing in Cancun many years later a woman asked what I did for a living. When I told her she didn't believe me and actually thought I was lying. So I couldn't resist pulling an Ed Orkin on her and fed her one outlandish profession after another every time she bit. She didn't know what to believe.

For me "Into the Night" is definitely one of my top 5

It has a strong sense of danger, a likable, identifiable protag (Jeff Goldblum), non-Mary-Jane femme fatale (Michelle Pfeiffer), strong villain and henches, a good buddy (Dan Aykroyd) and a lovable mentor (Richard Farnsworth), lots of cool cameos (including a very dangerous David Bowie). In fact, I agree with others here I'd have liked to see more of Bowie's character... maybe in a sequel.

Watching it again as I'm typing this.

Not my favorite favorite, which is Conan the Barbarian, but easily one of my favorites in one of my favorite genres, the Crime Comedy, like Married to the Mob, Get Shorty and Prizzi’s Honor. Plus, a title credits song by BB King.
