Little known movie: North Shore.
I was totally obsessed with it one summer. I learned every line and would just die if I couldn't watch it everyday. It rocked back in the day!

Yea, I was a teen in the early 80's and loves SO many of these movies!!

Sixteen Candles
Top Gun
Footloose
Breakfast Club
Some Kind Of Wonderful
St. Elmos Fire
You Can't Buy Love
Pretty In Pink
Desperately Seeking Susan
Something Wild
Mannequin
Reckless
Splash
All The Right Moves
Chances Are
Doc Hollywood
Ferris Bueller's Day Off

They're not all teen angst movies, but still great ones from that era...and I'm sure there's lots more I'm not thinking of.

You talkin' to me?!

My Chauffer was really funny, it was also on HBO every 5 minutes in the 80's.

I second "Pretty Smart" also, I love that movie.

Excluding "Girls just want to have fun" the other top two 80's movies, without a doubt, are:
"Ferris Beullers Day off" and "Dirty Dancing"
There is just no comparison.

Up the Creek (seriously funny parts in that movie)
Any of the John Hughes, Coreys Haim and Feldman or Mel Brooks movies and most of the Madonna movies in the 80's
