Should I watch Terminator 2 ?

I have never seen it.

Yes.

thank you

Yes. It's a top-flight action movie, IMHO better than "The Terminator".

I only realized today that number 2 was rated higher than number 1. Thanks.

You should it's one of the best, still prefer the first film over it though. I prefer the horror of the first, it's got a more nastier feel to it. But the sequel is still a top film, Arnie is great, Linda Hamilton is bad ass, Robert Patrick is a great Villain. The Ending still get's me teary end. Forget the other sequels though.

Yes, you absolutely should. It’s a great movie, and the special effects actually hold up extremely well. Often times when special effects age, particularly in action movies, it causes the movie to suffer a lot. You can be taken aback by them, pulling you out of the moment and making you more aware that you are only watching a movie. But that is not the case with T2 at all. Overall it is a top notch movie that I would recommend to anyone who is old enough to see it, regardless of it they’re an Arnold fan or not.

Hell, yes, you should. One of the greatest sequels ever made. One of the most iconic lines in cinema. Groundbreaking CGI. Arnold is a total badass. Robert Patrick is a total badass. Linda Hamilton is a total badass. Ditto Edward Furlong. And Stan Winston. And Cameron (But that goes without saying). You owe it to yourself to see this masterpiece.

And most important of all - Danny Cooksey sporting a mullet!

I'm one of the few fans of the original over the sequel out there (and that tells you something) and I say definitely yes! T2 is an amazing film! I just happen to prefer the first, though not by much!

reply

I rated both equally at 8.5/10. Loved them both.

reply

Glad you liked it! Both are great films! I grew up liking 2 better, but changed my opinion as I got older. Something about the atmosphere and feel of the first, along with the fact that it is basically a horror film, elevates it for me.

Did you watch it? If so what did you think? I was in awe of this film back in the 90s, that I watched it every weekend on Sky Movies when it came out on the tele (was in my teens). I was obsessed with it. Such a fantastic sequel. Don't watch the other sequels though. Wait for the new one that is coming out this year. It's supposed to continue on from T2. Then you can torture yourself with the crap that came out after. :-) lol

I strongly disagree. Genisys is criminally underrated. But T2 is definitely the best in the series, with the original at a close second.

reply

Yes, forgot about that one. Was thinking more of 3&4. Agree that Genisys was not that bad and I loved the continuity when you see both Reese and T1 arrive. Was very nostalgic, but I hated Emilia as Sarah Connor and that they made John the bad guy. Really hope this next one is good.

reply

I did and loved it. Usually sequels are not very good but his is the exception.

reply

Glad you enjoyed it. Did you tear up at the end? I cried like a baby. I also had a massive crush on Edward Furlong at the time. Shame his career ended due to drugs. He was a talented actor. Maybe he could make a comeback. I’m actually about to watch T2 now on Sky. Been a while.

reply

have you watched the first one? or any action films?

reply

I watched last week and gave both 8.5/10
