Is this the best rendition?
Certainly one of the best acted and directed
shareIt is my favorite. We have it on now!
shareAlistar Sim for me. While this is an amazing film, it feels every bit a product of 80s production values. Which I don't feel suits the theme and spirt of the story.
shareHa, it is definitely a film of its time. This is especially evident in the hairstyle of the Ghost of Christmas Past. But I do enjoy it nevertheless and would probably say it's my second favorite version, behind 1951 with Sim. The only version that I would say might compete for that spot is the '99 version with Patrick Stewart, but if I had to choose, I think I'd have to go with '84.
shareIt's very good, but I don't think it is the best. I think the 1951 version with Alastair Sim is the best.
shareI think so Zemeckis one is a close second
shareIn my opinion, yes. I have loved it since it first aired in 1984. Now I have the Blu Ray and watch it every year during the season.
shareAlastair SIMM’s version from 1951 is THE BEST version. No contest.
