The ending, why?

I mean why? How does a half alien half human have the power to shoot sparkles out of her self and bring about world piece, I just don't get it. The whole mini series both the first and final battle I enjoyed until this part and then I just sat there confused and thinking why? I am afraid to watch the TV. Series now in fear that possibly a horde of pink teddy bears will send a mother ship into a volcano made of sparkles and rainbows, because the ending was just that stupid. Now I have to make up my own ending, thanks Star Child I hope you rot.

Maybe long long distant relation to the Cullens haha

The novelization ending was much more reasonable - it had Elizabeth use her super-intellect to "hack in" to the detonator system and disarm it, but the NBC execs apparently wanted to appeal to the kiddies, so they had the magical sparkly-glowy ending instead.

Worse, I'm surprised Diana never tried to round up more human women to get impregnated in hopes of making more Star Children... why go after the current one? The Visitors were far more powerful - just round up some people, wait 9 months for gestation, another two for development, and voila...

I too am disturbed by the entire thing, I mean it all looked possible up to that point in the show. ROTFLMAO

Wasn't me
