I said it LOOKS like it has a negative message, and the teen boys that I know who has this as their favorite film are either a drop-out or does drugs.

shareThis film came out in 1983. Let's say a teen boy of 13 was a fan of this back then, 32 years later, he's far from a teen boy today. And let's be honest, teen boys nowadays are more likely to be fans of TDK or Marvel films than this film.
shareWell, it surely has more appeal to them. Honestly. It did for me too, but when I saw who else is the fan of the film (read: hoodlums, gangsters and those wannabe), my excitement quickly dipped.

shareBecause it's a mobster/gangster story, plain and simple, I watched it twice as a teenager and I loved it, now I'm all grown up and i STILL love it and proudly own the blu-ray copy of it, I got into gangster movies as a teenager and I still enjoy them even as an adult. all in all, it is pretty much a guy's flick lol, there are some women who like it too, like my old neighbor Hannah Moore, I told her I saw it on tv and she told me she was a fan of it, and it kind of surprised me a little bit but that's okay
