The Prequels reveal the Emperor is just a scarred old man, but was he originally intended to be an alien when the original trilogy was first produced, given his ghoulish, almost-reptilian-like features.
sharePossibly. If you take in to account his original appearance in Empire strikes back, his face still seems to scarred, but his eyes extend off his face in a way that doesn’t seem human.
