"Never Say Never Again" vs. "Octopussy"

1983 was a strange year for Bond fans, with two 007 movies to choose from. Which one did you prefer?

Octopussy by a longshot.

Neither of these two would be my favourite but NSNA is better then Octopussy. Connery plays an older Bond as part of the story and Barbara Carrrera and Kim Basinger are great. Someone should put the official theme music on NSNA and it would be much better.

Octopussy. This sucks.

I like them both to varying degrees. Octopussy has too many silly moments, but it doeas have a strong story and the sequences of Bond chasing the bomb are still nailbiting.

Never Say Never Again doesn't have any really silly moments and i think it's a very enjoyable film. It does have a weak climax though and isn't a very spectacular film.

Was it a millionaire who said "Imagine no possessions"?

NSNA is much better than the childish "Octopussy".

The cast is top notch with 2 Oscar winners (Connery, Basinger) and 2 Oscar noms (Von Sydow, Brandauer).

It's one of the best acted Bond films.

I think Connery was easily the best Bond overall. However, that said, I saw both Octopussy and NSNA in the movie theaters and thought the former far superior. It was one of Moore's better outings, ranking right after The Spy Who Loved Me and For Your Eyes Only. NSNA was without a doubt Connery's most forgettable Bond.

Octopussy for sure. It was kind of cheesy but in a good way. It gave the movie lots of memorable elements and fun scenes. NSNA was kind of bland and not very memorable.
