BETTER THAN QUANTUM OF SOLACE

There, I said it, and I make no apologies because it's true!

No apology needed. Quantum of Solace was a disgrace, and undeniably the worst experience I've ever had in a movie theater, or watching any non-interactive video entertainment medium of any kind.

You could have named any random entry from IMDb and it would be better than Quantum of Solace.

QOS had good spots, and then awful spots. The stunts were good. Bond falling with a rope around his leg and still being able to shoot was cool. The opera sequence was fine, and how Bond sort of got "Disavowed". The plot though was lame. And I disagree with the person saying Quantum was menacing. Uh...no. It seemed like a bunch of rich people looking to get richer. There was no menace. And sorry Quantum according to the dictionary means quantity or amount. Not very menacing.
Hence the reason they resolved the legal issues to bring back Spectre!!!! Gemma Arterton was wonderful, and of course they kill her off. I was also not impressed by Olga Kurylenko. They couldn't have casted a woman from South America for the role?

The ending was good and tied up the storyline. But overall maybe 1/4 of the movie was interesting.

NSNA was an update to Thunderball. It had it's good spots as well.

I would say both are more watchable than Diamonds are Forever, Licence to Kill, and A View to a Kill.

My only gripes with Quantum are the editing (of a crackhead), Olga not being utilized (shame... she's beautiful), and a very lame villain. Beats this movie though.

I prefer NSNA and QoS to many other Bond films.

Was it a millionaire who said "Imagine no possessions"?

hear, hear. another adventure starring connery including all the usual bond trademarks, how can you not love this. the nurses in this hospital are rough... i must say about all females in this movie, including the nurse and girl at the bahamas, overshadows the main bond girl in this, she looks like a kid, i enjoy her more in movies made after this, and the actor playing blofeld doesn't look evil enough to fit that part, also i know the main villain against bond in this is suppose to be a well known actor, but for a long while this was the only thing i've seen him in, now perhaps two things... maybe cause i avoid french movies, he plays such a prick with great impact, on a positive note i guess i've never enjoyed more waiting for bond to waste a guy, "m" looks too young and "q" feels impossible to be played by another actor after the role had starred the same guy from the start of the franchise while different bond actors coming and going, like queen elizabeth, right, and in this bond even mr bean is in a part. notice worked into the dialogue "one of you 00's", can't help but think this was a reference to there being two bonds at the theatre at the same time in 1983. he closes the door on a shark, how neat is that, a lot of people including critics find the underwater scenes in "thunderball" overlong, i even forgot this featured that and as it does is much more suspenseful, this movie also has some good gags, as when he's taunting fatima, his reply about filling the urine sample "from here?" and how they choose the right room.

wrapped in your atmosphere,
you come around here,
too often under dark circumstances,
dont want to see you cry,
wish to see your spirit high in jolly times,
on sunny side,
under the green growing tree,
where trouble no more live in harmony and peace.
