How many times have you watched 'The Wall'

Ok, this movie is still strange but bloody brilliant. I watched it first time when i was around 10 y.o. I've seen it around 10-12 times since then, love the wall so much. Its cool to watch the movie on dvd cause you get the lyrics in the screen as well if your native language isn't english. So how many times have you watched this?

I have seen this over 50 times, and probably 45 of them were on acid or mushrooms. It sounds weird, the movie is such a downer, but neither I nor any of my friends ever had a bad trip while watching this. It was more like OMG that flower turned into ....

Only once and didn't like it. I mean, sure, Pink Floyd's songs are great, but I didn't like it as a film. Maybe as a long music video.

Watch it? Heck, I teach it. I use it in my Film as Literature class at my local college and have been doing it for years since its message, as well as the music, is timeless. It's one of the very few films with music as its main component that touches us all on a different level. Students can relate well to the film and reflect on how many bricks they have in their own metaphorical walls. Of course, there are some who totally don't get it, but that's probably consistent with their other courses, too, sad to say. The artistry visually and audibly are brilliant. I will continue to teach this until the day I retire. It never gets old. Hope they release it in blue ray!

'strangeteacher,

When this movie came out my music teacher (a 50yr old woman) raved about it. When the album was approved through the school board she was so excited to play for us even though many of us already had heard it because it was out years before the movie. She went into details about how the music related so eloquently to theme of lyrics and overall message of the movie. She was great - I loved her!

'Tommy' the who was also on heavy rotation in her class. But the one we liked best was her lecture on 'The Wall'. She really got into it.

My best friend turned me onto "The Wall" when I was 17. I'm now 41 and have watched it at least once in all those years so, about.....24 times or more. I love this movie and seeing the concert version is on my bucket list (Wrigley Field, June 8th!!!!!). I have watched this movie sober and yes, once high. It was only pot & one of the few times I had tried it. I AM NOT advocating the use of drugs by saying this, but seeing the film in that state of mind was INCREDIBLE.
If you would like to read a very good book on the making of "The Wall", look up The Making of Pink Floyd The Wall, by Gerald Scarfe with commentary by Roger Waters. And yes...it IS bloody brilliant.

Shop smart, Shop S-Mart....you GOT that?!?

Sadly not as many times as I wanted to lol . This movie is never on cable TV and I haven't seen it in at least 20 years that I can recall . I only saw it about a couple of times on a local TV channel way back but that was it after that . Thanks prokopis26 for your subject post .

At least 30 times, but I have been a Floyd fan for 17 years now. I rewatched it recently after being to Roger Waters The Wall Tour, but the last time I had watched it was in 2005 or so. So many good memories...
