Be honest, how many seen the ending coming???

I wonder if anyone ever seen the ending coming? i didnt.. and dont know anyone else who has. But be honest, did anyone here see it ending the way it did??

and i wonder what rick was thinking when he saw gary at the end. or if karen told rick, its cool now , dummy gary took care of everything...

I saw what happened in the kitchen at the end coming, I think nearly everybody did, but I think it's safe to say that few if ANY thought the film would END right then and there.

Exactly that. While I was a bit surprised (and angry) that Karen ended up with Rick again, I never thought the film would end so abruptly. According to the trivia on this movie, it was originally intended to be a series, so perhaps the situation would have been resolved in a sequel. I guess we'll just have to take comfort in the fact that the relationship would likely sour again and Karen would end up hurt and in tears...again. No way was horndog Rick going to remain faithful. Gary is better off without someone like her anyway.

It suprized me. Someone in the audience wimpered out a "awww" and you could feel the collective air knocked out of everyone in the theatre.

I was joking about it being a setup, and part of me wanted to believe she would go back to Rick, especially when he had to find her just like he did when she was at the football field.

The first time watching the movie I didn't see the ending coming. After seeing the ending an the movie I thought [I should seen this coming] after you see the movie the ending appears so much more obvious.

I saw this in a movie theatre 31 years ago and I had a chance to see it again on cable. It really hasn't held up as a good movie. I didn't see the ending coming the first time around and I remember feeling sorry for Gary and hating Karen and Rick.

No good deed goes unpunished.
