Or the most dramatic parts of the movie are in the rain. Thanks in advance.

Oh, you're welcome!

If I am remembered over there I hope it's because the 'mods' have had a moment of self-reflection and realised that they are the trolls and have been the whole time, as I told them when I first arrived

I thought I was pretty toned down here. And I've been a star wars fan for 41.5 years...since day one...never missed a premier. We've talked about this. I made a video about my dislike of the direction of the franchise ...you even commented on it😂

I don't know about constantly but these movies have key scenes with pouring rain:

Black Rain

Once Upon a Time in America

Jennifer Eight

Se7en

High Fidelity is another one when Rob is dumped by Charlie then again when he reunites with his latest ex at her dad's funeral.

The Matrix Revolutions (that's what I'd call heavy rain!)
The Crow (at least it had a line "it can't rain all the time", I don't remember how much it actually rained in it)

I don't remember any rain in Black Rain... oh yes, there was one small scene on a bridge after Douglas' partner was decapitated...

There's at least two scenes in the movie "the beach", where there's torrential rain.

Solaris remake

Final scene of BTTF 2. I know the movie overall isn't 'drama' but the final scene where Doc disappears after being hit by lightning is dramatic.

Did Doc just die? Disappear into some temporal ether?

Car quietly approaches, Marty turns around slowly as the rain runs off his face, figure emerges from car in the downpour...

Out of curiosity, why are you looking for such scenes or movies?

reply

idk i was in the mood for it, had the sunday blues and was looking for that specific mood/scenery

There are some good youtube rain channels... one is called texashidef. Some guy in Austin Texas has edited and uploaded dashcam footage of his drives through the rain at dusk/night. (He also goes by the name yogaduke).

I cast it to my big screen, and sit and watch it as a form of meditation. The glow of neon lights passing by, the periodic flash of lightning, hypnotic white noise of the rain, combined with the rhythmic thump... it sends me into some sort of deep reverie.

I scoured youtube for some melancholic tunes (example below) which I then edited into the audio portion of his videos... super relaxing. I even added some radio static between songs to make it seem like someone was turning the dial on an old school AM car radio.

I'll watch them on my Oculus Quest too. The FOV is so huge, it's like I'm actually sitting behind the wheel of the car.
