underrated gem of a movie.

It really is and with a great cast that includes Fred Ward! I’m from Louisiana so I’ve always had a soft heart for this one since I was a kid, and I love how they call the pirogues by their correct name. I’ve got this one on a grainy VHS copy that I still watch every once in a while.

Sure is. I watched it last night for the first time and enjoyed it. I kind of felt the exhaustion they must have had going through all those swamplands for a lot of the film. The long, drawn out tension at the end was effective.

I watched it because I read that it was mentioned as inspiration for what became Aliens.

I agree I liked this movie a lot and would totally watch it again.
