shareI know what you mean. I bought some of Dewey Balfa's music because of this film (he's in the movie as the singer at the end).

There were a couple of other, later 80's films that got deep into that music....No Mercy and The Big Easy.
The music is great in all three movies.
But Southern Comfort got there first...
Basically the whole finale of the movie has almost very little dialogue and this music takes over. It was catchy and worked interestingly with the tension and worry the men were going through.
