I agree with the OP. It's mind boggling, that utter garbage like this even got green lit in the first place..
Throughout the entire movie, I had this feeling like the writers stole the material from a child... Like maybe one of their kids made up a story like this.. And they thought it might be an alright idea.. pfff...
This was easily one of the worst movies I've ever seen, it was flat out embarrassing.. Atrocious dialogue, atrocious characters, atrocious story, not to mention one of the worst portrayals of US Soldiers I've ever seen.
Everything about the plot was forced in a really bad way.. Never would a US Army Staff Sergeant agree to stealing from civilians, maybe a dumb Private.. But not a higher ranking NCO.. From that point of the film on, it just got worse and worse.. Until one guy apparently goes crazy out of the blue, for no apparent reason. Other than he liked the NCO who got shot.. Then it just became an accidental comedy to me.
