One of the worst movies ever made

The only amazing thing about this movie is how Peter Coyote, Powers Boothe, and Keith Carradine ever worked again. The dialogue is absolutely dreadful, the acting atrocious, and the plot is beyond silly. There are some movies that boggle the mind, why and how they were ever released. This is one of them.

I'm sure you're right.

Yeah, but you gotta admit, whomever did the gaffing did a superb job. Also, the caterers were excellent, and whomever was the production assistant was amazing. Some of the best production assistance I've *ever* seen on a movie.

You've obviously never seen Legally Blond.

If we all liked the same movie, there'd only be one movie!

Its one of Hill's better films and stands the test of time.

Its that man again!!

Walter Hill is grossly overrated. One of his better films? That's not saying a whole lot.

Walter Hill is not overrated. Early Hill films are classics: Hard Times, The Warriors, The Long Riders,48 Hours, Southern Comfort...that's not a bad list at all. Even some of the later films, while not classics, are still entertaining: Red Heat and Johnny Handsome...

Dialogue in Southern Comfort is great. Wonderful ensemble acting by a great cast. Music is awesome. Cinematography is fantastic. I'd give it 4 out of 5 stars easy.

I prefer action films like these compared to a lot of modern ones that throw CGI at you every 15 seconds and try to make you think the characters are in jeopardy.
