I agree 100% with these ratings. Raiders is a 10/10 movie. Temple of Doom I loved as a kid, but can only consider half as good as Raiders now. Last Crusade is a significant improvement but still doesn't match the original; I could possibly stretch it to a 7.5. The less said about Crystal Skull the better. And so it is:

Raiders 10
Temple 5
Crusade 7
Crystal Skull 3

Raiders of The Lost Ark 10/10 the best adventure film ever seen, I think it is a perfect movie
The Temple of Doom what I said about Raiders makes it all the more odd I have never seen this film and I don't know why
The Last Crusade 8/10 a very fun film, it was the first film I watched in this franchise
The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull I haven't seen this one yet either

Raiders 9 About perfect, but no movie is a 10 so a 9 it is.
Temple 7 Excellent film that would have been a big hit even without the first film launching it.
Crusade 9 Matches Raiders for me. Recaptures the magic of the first film - not as good in many ways but better in others.
Kingdom 4 Tough to watch. 4 might be generous.

What do you think is better in Last Crusade than in Raiders?

Sean Connery. I think his interaction with Indy was a nice touch. In the first two films, Indy was always the alpha when dealing with any of his male contacts. But with Henry Sr., Indiana was often taking a lead from his dad.

I also thought the SFX was better in parts. I find the first and third films the most rewatchable, and I'll watch the second here and there.

That's not too outrageous. Only difference is you really didn't like Temple of Doom, which I can understand.

Just that most people love Temple of Doom and hate Crystal Skull.
