Mark is diversity at it's best. His wheelchair use is aknowledged but he's not a complete sob story or loser. He's an arm wrestling champ and was about to get laid before he bit the dust. I'm sure many wheelchair bound people saw his character and aspired to it.

I only recall seeing that actor in one other role, and it was in Rolling Thunder (1977). He wasn’t quite as whiney there, though. It would be interesting to check out his filmography and see what else he was in.
