My worst movie of all-time

I think this. I was fortunately to have a collection of old comic strips and was familiar with many of the characters like Wimpy and his sponging and love for hamburgers, Pappy and his crabby ways, the Oyl family, etc. so I was familiar with them and their ways and found them quite funny.

As for the plot... yeh it was weak, but the filming was the typical Altman anarchy (like M*A*S*H) which tends to turn off a lot of people.

I haven't watched the movie in too many years, but some of the songs have stuck in my head and still come out in some homey situations, like "I will gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today" when wifey is cooking them."

Enough. It's a matter of taste. I liked the movie, I enjoyed it the last time I watched it on VHS. It's far from a worst all-time movie. JMO.
