snow speeders can’t go out at night?
to search for luke.
shareI suspect they can't fly in snowstorms.
shareThey had trouble adapting them to cold environment. Wasn't there a line that explained it.
shareThat’s right, Han asks one of the rebel officers in the hangar that, i remember.
They could’ve just used the millennium falcon to hover around above the ground surely? If it can fly in space, it can survive a blizzard haha.
Falcon was under repairs. Chewie was working on it.
shareOh yeah forgot about that. What about an x-wing?
sharePossibly. They could have used x-wings also on battle against the imperial walkers (AT-AT's), but that probably would have made a less exciting action scene...
shareHaving the speeders was definitely cooler, yes. Star Wars always took its ideas from WWII movies, and the snowspeeder with the tail gunner in the back seat was just like the dive bombers you see see in movies like the battle of Midway. X-wing didn't have that.
shareThe X-wings were even more difficult to adapt to the cold than the speeders, that's why they didn't use them for the AT-AT's
shareit gets too cold for them after dark
