the lead guy - so dinstinctive - how come he never made another movie?

that John guy had a unique look..how come I never saw him in anything else?

He was offered a lot of roles, but he was always typecast as a deformed person. He was holding out for a leading man in an action movie role, but it just never happened. He ended up literally working for peanuts off-off Broadway.

Hi larious. Please, please, make me laugh a second time.

Actually, he did use some of the royalties from this film to have a series of plastic surgeries, but they weren't very successful. The money went pretty quick.

There, daddy, do I get a gold star?

reply

Wasn't he the dad in the Parent Trap remake?

I have no problem with black humour but it has to be funny-this was not. It might work in a standup but not written down.

reply

I heard that he tried out for the next "Toxic Avenger" movie.

reply

He was in some of the STAR WARS movies, playing aliens with no make-up at all.

He tried out for the LOTR series too, but they said he didn't quite have the right look to play Orks. His face was too... benign.

reply

Haven't you guys seen 300? He had been holding out for the role of the deformed traitor his entire career. Personally, I preferred his work in Elephant Man.

reply

Oh, but why wasn't he cast as Ephialtes the traitor in 300? I thought he was a better actor than the guy they got. Maybe he was too old?

reply

Didn't he play Elizabeth in the 2005 remake of Pride & Prejudice?

reply

He played Carrie Bradshaw from Sex and the City.

He's also been in Nineteen Eighty Four, Captain Corelli's Mandolin, Hellboy and the Oxford Murders. Voice overs include films such as Wastership Down, The Black Cauldron, Lord of the Rings and Valiant.

Hahaha... oh wow...

Laugh and the world laughs with you. Weep and you weep alone.

He played Carrie Bradshaw from Sex and the City.

Ooooh, you bitch!

Actually, I heard he was up for the lead in The Tori Spelling Story.

All the universe . . . or nothingness. Which shall it be, Passworthy? Which shall it be?

His most successful role was in the Goonies

"Looks like we're shy one horse" "No. You brought two too many"

His son also found success in "Mask"
