These movies were released around the same time. Which one has held up over the course of time?
shareI think Caddyshack is somewhat better because the jokes and situations are still considered very funny.
Airplane might be tasteless for some today not to mention it makes fun of Airport and other films nobody remembers today maybe except Saturday Night Fever.
I go Caddyshack by a nose. It has prime Bill Murray and Chevy Chase comedically sparring.
Still really funny films which I appreciate more the more modern comedies I see.

shareHard to say, you got Caddyshack for it's originality and ad-libing, Airplane for it's great satire/parody jokes.
Many of the jokes in Caddyshack were made up on the spot by it's legendary cast of comics. Airplane is probably the best satirical film ever though. So, it's hard to choose because they're both funny. But yeah, I would probably go with Caddyshack but you really can't go wrong with either film.
