I'm glad that cover didn't come out until 1980. I don't know when it came out, but at least she was 17 or maybe even 18 in it.

The original title of the film was Day of the Woman which included a less exploitative cover art. A couple years after it’s release they revamped the cover and changed the name to cash in at grind house theaters and the VHS boom was happening.

I actually met and spoke with Camille Keaton last year. I purposely did not bring up I Spit on Your Grave, but if I had thought of it I would have at least asked about the poster.
Why not? It’s the only film anyone knows her from.

I asked her how she ended up there and she said she had an uncle who lived close to Rome, and she knew Clint Eastwood got his start there. So I brought several DVDs of her’s from that era and when she saw one of them she said “OMG this is my favorite film I was ever in!” We talked about her time making there and she really was very nice.
