Dennis Quaid apparently was going to play Bob at one point since he was with PJ Soles at the time. His casting would have been great since it would have made the romance between Bob and Linda more genuine and elevate the film even higher kind of like how the first Friday the 13th is elevated by Kevin Bacon’s appearance.

It's a typical guilty-pleasure of a movie. As a teen I really enjoyed it but I consider it unwatchable today. It is so absurdly bad on every level I can't look past any of it.

For all it's faults, Jaws 3 is infinitely better than Jaws The Revenge.

Since he was dating (and later married) PJ Soles at the time it made sense.
