What are some other weird Japanese movies you've seen?

Weird Japanese movies: Any others worth seeing??

I recently saw "Screwed" by Japanese cult-director Teruo Ishii. Not as weird as "House," but the last part of "Screwed" was definitely weird.

You rally think Funky Forest is weird? It was just a wacky (and quite traditional in places) Japanese comedy. It was like Survive Style 5+. Either way, ace film, highly reccomended.. everything that guy has made is topnotch, especially Taste of Tea.

Man, Branded to Kill is one of my favorite films of all time. Though I don't think it's as weird as Suzuki's "Pistol Opera".

Cant reccomend "Happiness of The Katakuris" enough, extremely wacky and weird. Its got a dysfunctional family, zombies, they break out into song, giant whirlpools, claymation and a freaky alien being that is in soup.

Gozu is another good film from the same director, Takashi Miike

Wow, no one else thought of recommending the Japanese Science-Fiction Horror movie "Goke, Body Snatcher From Hell" in exactly two years since the OP (to the day, in fact)! Well worth seeing, that is, if you can find it.

Yeah Uzumaki is some pretty wild stuff, it seemed to get a bit boring at times but its definately worth watching.

And i wouldnt necessarily say "anything" by Takashi Miike becasue hes made quite a few "normal" films as well. As for his wackier films id say

If you want some trippy animated flicks, check out:
'Mind Game'
'Paprika'
'Cat Soup'
'Tekkon Kinkreet'
and maybe 'Summer Wars'... I don't think it's necessarily 'weird', but it's incredibly creative and uses an intriguing 'setting' if you will.
