Were there ever any episodes about viral outbreaks ?
Norovirus, rotavirus?
shareI don't think so--remember this series started pre-AIDS and everything could be cured re penicillin in that era. Okay the series ended in a much different era (1990) but the basic idea of the series was to have fun.
shareWow this show was still on in the ‘90s? I thought it born and died in the ‘70s.
Imagine a #covid storyline where The Love Boat keeps getting rejected by ports and has to keep sailing. Doc is all busy trying the set up quarantines.
Hoping his true identity as Ziegfried the Kaos agent isn't foiled!
shareIt wasn't still on in the 90s. There were two Love Boat movies in Sept. '76 and Feb. '77 and then the series ran from May 1977 thru Feb. 1987.

shareThanks. I obviously wasn't familiar with that final movie. If you can forgive my being technical, it was shot in June, 1989, which makes it the 80s. However, you're right that it was released in early 1990.
shareThey tried to reboot it in the late 90s with Robert Ulrich as the new captain.
shareNot that I saw every episode but I don't think they dealt with anything serious at all. I don't even think they had a case of food poisoning which is the most common ailment on cruise ships.
shareNo. There would be no reason to do that kind of storyline. This show was more or less a light hearted romantic comedy with some drama.
shareHerpes is a virus. I'm sure there was lots of that going around that ship of sin.
