... Ilsa SPOILERS - died, how was her character able to return for this and other sequels? Were they just different stories within same or similar characters or...? Thanks.

There was no timeline. It’s exploitation cinema at its finest with Dianne Thorne reprising her role as Ilsa. I wish they had done 10 more. :)
