My all-time favorite movie comedy

Mel Brooks hit it way out of the park with this film. Horror aficionados such as myself appreciated the comedy and sly references, but more than that, there was a general reverence throughout the movie for the original Universal films. There was a real respect for what had preceded this film.
I could feel it in every scene.

I can feel the love, for the material that preceded them and for the work they were doing, and amongst themselves.

You can tell they loved making it, and we love watching it.

My favourite is Planes, Trains and Automobiles but YF is a cracker.
