In this movie it's a great crash between two different type of women: the absolutley fabolous pin-up Raquel and the always bitchy evil icy Faye. The most hottie is surely Welch but Dunaway has a sort of decadent charme.

I've gotta say Raquel Welch. Her exotic, dark looks are more alluring than Faye's icy blonde personna. Both are extremely lovely, and either can get a vote, but I'm taking Raquel.

It's a sad state of affairs that today's men cannot tell the difference between real ones (they move) and fake. Or seem to prefer fake.
Furthermore, women with lean builds look ludicrous with huge implants. Their frames have no support for them, and the implants tend to drift sideways, see Victoria Beckham.
I'm sorry but Raquel was a goddess while Dunaway was a good actress but not a sexy woman
share They're BOTH gorgeous--in very different ways, but everyone knew Dunaway was a great actress. Welch was the revelation here. Because of her sultry, sexy looks, no one had ever allowed her to do comedy--or much of anything besides looking sexy. It's like an unwritten rule--'you can't be sensual & funny @ the same time. She proved otherwise. As was pointed out--she has great comedic ability & was awarded for it.
They BOTH have exquisite cheekbones.
**** implants! Those aren't the only thing that make a woman gorgeous. Dunaway was a goddess--just as she was. Fine figure. Loved her look in Chinatown.

shareRaquel is very hot in this movie. She is more beautiful in the face and has some absolutely top-notch boobage.
Faye has hairy armpits in these movies (in the 2nd one, anyway) which is a bit of a turnoff.
But in acting ability, Faye wins hands down. She is a tremendous actress and is perfect as Milady. The best portrayal of Milady ever.
Raquel Welch was simply wonderful
shareRacquel is definitely sexier. Kitty is even sexier than Milady. But I don't think it's necessarily a function of the sexiness of the actresses themselves. Milady, as a courtesan, is much more heavily made up and modified according to 17th century fashion, than either Constance or Kitty. The look doesn't really do anything for me. Same goes for Geraldine Chaplin as Queen Anne.
As to acting ability, well, Welch played Constance as she was written in this screenplay, as more of a broad character (no pun intended) and more of a shallow character, I think, than Milady is written. Milady has a little more depth, supported by her backstory with Athos. I agree that Dunaway did an excellent job with the character. She has the cold charm, and all the venom, of a cobra.
Actually, I think everyone is excellent in both movies, from the main characters to the supporting characters.
