In this movie it's a great crash between two different type of women: the absolutley fabolous pin-up Raquel and the always bitchy evil icy Faye. The most hottie is surely Welch but Dunaway has a sort of decadent charme.

Faye was incredibly sexy throughout the movie. Raquel seemed dumber than a box of rocks [and not just her character].

As for the Raquel vs. Faye...I would have to pick Raquel as more sexy.
Faye is just a damn good actor, but it seems like she got pigenholed in the mid-seventies as the "bad" woman (These/this movie, Three Days of the Condor, Chinatown.) Something about Faye always made her seem older to me than Raquel even though she(Faye) was her(Raquel) junior by a year.
PS. Kitty is the best of all for me though.
Great explication and I agree about Dunaway. She does seem older than Welch. She did get stuck in “bad women” roles, although that description isn’t quite descriptive enough. I think “hard” is also important to mention. The roles she played were “hard women” and those roles did make her seem older than her years.
and it carried on beyond the 1970s, with The Wicked Lady and Mommie Dearest in the 1980s, to name a couple.
I wish I had never seen Mommie Dearest because after watching it, every time I watched a Dunaway performance, all I could see was the “hardness” of her Joan Crawford portrayal. And it sadly made her look ugly. (Those hideous eyebrows.) The only Dunaway film that doesn’t give that vibe is Bonny and Clyde, even when she’s shooting people.
Faye definitely ACTED better...she really came across just like I had envisioned Milady. Plus, I just like the pale look of Faye better than that tan/dark look Raquel had.

To me, there is no question. Faye as Milady wins hands down. That great scene in Buckingham's bedroom where she steals the diamonds contains the best facial expression Faye Dunaway ever made in a career full of great mugging. She is also sexy in the scene where Milady and Constance fight over the jewels.

It's only too bad that Faye Dunaway never got implants! If she had, she would have been ever bit as appealing to look at (back in those days) as Raquel Welch was!! With implants, Faye Dunaway would have been the perfect blend of looks and brains!
If Raquel and Faye ever read this thread, they'd think we're just being ridiculous pitting them against each other. Both actresses have a great respect for each other. A lot of actors have complained about their prima donna ways but they worked well together.
They're both beautiful and none of today's female stars can hold a candle to their dynamic blend of looks, talent and personality.
I don't think that board was ridicolous....All think that two are great actresses and two splendid women but the curiosity it's know itself which of two it appealed more to public. Personally task that Raquel Welch is hotter: a wonderful beauty while Dunaway was a better actress and less beauty but very charming.
