.....nautical mile.
It seems full of its own importance- happy to drag its heels and yawn from one cliche to the next. The last 45 minutes are so sluggish, it feels like the director and writers just went home and left it to trundle to a full stop.
Comparing it to modern day Bond movies is like comparing Jaws to an episode of Flipper..

Besides, all of the Craig movies sucked all the joy and fun out of the franchise.
The problem with Quantum Solace is its the only one that really tries to be a sequel, heavily following the story line from Casino Royale. Most Bond films are easy to watch outside of chronological order, you watch Quantum Solace after not having seen Casino Royale at all or even recently your sort of lost.

shareI agree. If you watched Quantum Of Solace before Casino Royale it would be a little confusing. However, I thought that it was great to tie up the ultimate fates of Mathis and in a way, Vesper. And I really love the last scene when Bond comes face to face with that *beep* you was partially responsible for Vesper's death.
BTW, I loved Quantum Of Solace.
Fasten your seatbelts, it's going to be a bumpy night.
Quantum of Solace had so many cuts I got a headache trying to get through it.

shareI don't agree. i think it is an excellent film. but then I don't care for the latest Bond at all. I don't like jaws either - that is a really sluggish film. I mean, the shark doesn't even appear till about halfway through.
